While the last year wasn’t what any of us were expecting, we did our best to make the most of the unexpected. More time at home with family. More time outdoors. And, of course, more time cooking with our favorite products. I also really enjoyed introducing customers to new equipment and observing the food and fun it helped them create during a challenging time.

Speaking of fun, I had the pleasure of bringing the Blue Ribbon Bacon Board members up to Lake View, Iowa, in 2020 and have them experience the area where I lived prior to recently moving to the Des Moines metro. Sac County and Carroll County are home to a lot of great people who are passionate about food and farming. Follow along in this first episode of “Let’s Meat Up” and keep an eye out for additional episodes to be released soon.

At BW Outdoors, we are jumping back in the saddle and making preparations to be out and about this spring and summer at some area biking and BBQ events. Stay tuned for more information. I looking forward to seeing ya’ll very soon!
